Technical manuals like maintenance, user, training, and operations guides are now moving from paper to electronic format because they are easier to use, interactive, and quick to access. For example, a warship’s manuals once filled 300–350 sq. ft. with thousands of pages, making it hard for maintainers to find troubleshooting steps across many books. To solve this, IETMs (Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals) were introduced. They replace bulky paperwork with a digital library that takes very little space, can be viewed on tablets anywhere, and can be updated easily.
